   We are a small soap making business located in the heart of the midwest- in Coralville, Iowa. It is a progressive community with small town charm.  I am a retired registered nurse with a passion for making high quality handmade soap, bath, and body products. I started giving soap to friends and family as gifts. When the soaping became an addiction, Soaps Etc. was founded in November 2001.

   All products are made in small batches to ensure the best quality for the consumer. I use only plant oils from sources all around the world. No animal fats or fillers. No animal testing. Handmade soap with it's natural glycerin will atttract moisture to your skin and lathers luxuriously. Bath gels now formulated with a super mild surfactant blend making it suitable for all ages and skin types. The shea butter cream is rich- 20 % shea butter combined with other skin loving ingredients.

My business philosophy includes striving to operate creatively, profitably, and with respect for those whose lives have been touched by my products and services. And for that reason, I give back to my community every year by choosing a non profit based shelter to contribute 5 % of profits. I also teach soapmaking classes in my community.
